Christmas Cup Raceday at Exeter Racecourse

One last day at the races before Christmas. And a very good excuse to start the celebrations early.

The Christmas Cup is calling. Head to Exeter Racecourse on Thursday 17 December for a big festive afternoon on Haldon Hill, with competitive jump racing, live music and plenty of Christmas spirit.

The Christmas Cup is one of the highlights of Exeter’s season, bringing some cracking racing to the track just eight days before Christmas. Pick your horse, head down to the rails and cheer it home before heading back inside to warm up and plan your next bet.

It’s also a great excuse to gather everyone together before Christmas takes over completely. Bring your friends, get the work crowd out of the office or turn it into that pre-Christmas catch-up you’ve been trying to organise for weeks.
And this is definitely a day to dress for. Dig out the Christmas jumper, add a bit of sparkle or simply wrap up in your best winter gear and enjoy a December afternoon at the races.

There’ll be live music too adding to the festive atmosphere throughout the day.

Dedicated Greenslades buses will run from Exeter St Davids, Exeter City Centre and Newton Abbot Train Station, so you can leave the car at home. All three buses depart at 11am, returning from Exeter Racecourse at 4pm.
