what: Animated Exeter 2012 takes place across Exeter from February 11th-19th. providing a jam- packed programme, featuring work from celebrated animation luminaries to exciting new talent. Festival goers can watch over 100 animation films, in addition to attending workshops, exhibitions, industry master-classes, career-planning days, and prestigious award ceremonies including a chance to vote for their own favourites in the British Animation Awards. The festival is celebrating it’s 13th year inspiring young people in the South West to develop their talent, share ideas and get a foot in the door of this expanding industry.
Cartoon-tastic fun!
The festival is holding a non-stop week of innovative workshops for all ages. Youngsters can see their story come to life and learn to draw and animate with the Flip Boom All-Star workshop , learning how to record their own soundtrack, animate photos and share their finished cartoons online, or try Toon Boom Studio for older children, creating amazing animated films with cut-outs, rotoscoping and stop-motion. Families can also take part in a free creative challenge at Spacex gallery, which includes finding a secret location. There are many more to choose from.
